The Filliers family have a history of distilling Genever in Belgium that dates back to the 1800's. More recently, they've applied their skills to producing award-winning gins in a variety of expressions. Filliers Dry Gin 28 was first created in 1928 by Firmin Filliers using 28 botanicals such as citrus fruits, exotic herbs and strong-flavoured roots as well as the all-important juniper. It is his recipe that is still used today as the family continue to produce this small batch gin in their copper stills.
Lemon and orange peel support the juniper. Hint of cardamom and fresh coriander. More citrus alongside the central juniper, slightly creamy, drying. Warming and dry.
There may be a lot - 28 in all - but they are all fairly traditional.

Although great in a G&T we think this makes an amazing negroni!
Notes of mixed peels from the off with the central creamy juniper developing.
Oranges and lemons last to the end. Quite dry.
Hints of coriander, cardamom perfectly complement this to create a warming dry gin.
