About
Pickering's 1947 42% - 70cl
Pickering’s 1947 is made exactly to an original Bombay recipe, handwritten on a fragment of paper dated 17 July 1947. Kept as a family secret for over 66 years, it only resurfaced in 2013 when distillers Matt and Marcus began distilling at Summerhall. They have been true to the original recipe, re-adding cinnamon. The result is a spectacularly smooth, refreshing and decidedly spicy gin.
The Taste
The original recipe as it was intended to be made. Much more spice on the taste, with extra coriander, cardamom and cinnamon.
The Botanicals
Juniper, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, anise, lemon, lime and cloves
