Pickering’s gin is based on an original Bombay recipe, handwritten on a fragment of paper dated 17 July 1947. The recipe has now been fine-tuned, perfecting its balance of botanicals and tweaking it to the contemporary palate. The result is a spectacularly smooth, refreshing and flavoursome gin.

The secret of the gin’s smoothness is Gert’s ingenious, custom-designed bain marie heating system. This provides a gentle all-over-heat to the still. Thus the botanicals enjoy a luxurious simmer that coaxes out their subtle, soft, highly drinkable flavours.

The Taste

Classic London dry in style, with the juniper and citrus flavours to the fore. Followed by an element of sweetness from the fennel and anise finished with a peppery spice that is unchanged from 1947 when the recipe was written in Bombay.
